A model from New Zealand has given a graphic account of alleged sexual harassment by Hollywood movie mogul Harvey Weinstein – the latest in a string of women to have done so.

Zoe Brock, a model, described Weinstein luring her into a hotel room in Cannes, France, stripping naked and pursuing her around the room in pursuit of a “massage.”

She said she ran into a bathroom, which resulted in Weinstein, still nude, “banging on the door with his fists” and yelling at her to come out.

Brock described the incident, which she said took place at the 1997 Cannes Film Festival when she was 23, in an interview on BBC Radio 4’s “Today” programme.

She has also described the alleged events in a post on the blogging site Medium.

Brock told presenter Justin Webb that she met Weinstein at a dinner, and ended up going out drinking with him afterwards in a large group.

But after a while she said she was taken by car to Weinstein's hotel, separated from her friends, and left with Weinstein and a male assistant. Brock told Webb:

"He [the assistant] left the room. So did Harvey he walked into the other part of the suite and came back pretty quickly, naked.

"I can't remember what I said. I just remember what he said, he said that he wanted a massage, would I give him a massage, and I did not want to do that.

"And he asked if he could give me a massage, and this is where things get a little bit weird as I didn't know what to do, and I felt letting him touch me a little bit might placate him enough to get me out of there somehow, I don't really know what I was thinking.

"I knew that I didn't have any friends at the hotel, I had no cellphone, no money.

"So I let him put his hand on my shoulder and I really quickly knew that I was not gonna be able to handle any of that and I got up and bolted into the bathroom.

"When I was in the bathroom he was banging on the door with his fists, and I scolded him - that was weird - I heard myself saying "Put your clothes on, you naughty boy!"

"And that seems extremely surreal when you think about it. He was 22 years older than me, he was exactly twice my age. Speaking to him like that seemed to make him contrite."

Brock said that Weinstein later put on a bathrobe, cried, and said to her: "You don't like me because I'm fat."

The allegation is the latest in a series of accusations against Weinstein, detailed mostly by stories in the New York Times newspaper and New Yorker magazine.

Angelina Jolie and Gwyneth Paltrow both say they have rebuffed advances from Weinstein. High-profile former allies including Michelle and Barack Obama have distanced themselves from him.

On Tuesday, Weinstein's wife, fashion designer Georgina Chapman, announced that she was leaving him.

Weinstein has not answered Brock's allegation directly. But in a blanket statement addressing any on-the-record claims against him, his publicist said: "Mr. Weinstein believes that all of these relationships were consensual. Mr. Weinstein has begun counseling, has listened to the community, and is pursuing a better path."
